Bernard Bale is no newcomer to speaking. As well as hosting BBC radio shows and appearing on record-breaking TV shows, he has compered concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and also given talks at the House of Commons. In addition he has appeared at scores of theatres and other venues all over the UK. All that and a handful of awards for his writing too.
At present he can also be heard every Tuesday evening at 8pm on boxofficeradio.co.uk and has listeners all over the world who enjoy his relaxed style of hosting plus a great selection of music from stage, screen and television.
Bernard has a reputation for telling it the way it is but rarely strays far from his sense of fun and humour. Nobody gets bored when he is around, he won’t let them! They do regularly ask him back though.

Hot Off The Presses

The life and times of a Fleet Street journalist with many anecdotes including meetings with the famous as well as the notorious. Hear why Bernard was shot at and how he ruined an entire army exercise. In this talk there are revelations about investigative journalism including some of the investigations themselves. It has been described as a light-hearted but absorbing look at an amazing career.

SPORTING HIGHLIGHTS If you are into sport this is for you. Bernard Bale was there when England won the World Cup in 1966 and even got to hold the Jules Rimet Trophy. Why? Because he was friends with Alf Ramsey and most of the players. He has other great football tales as well as other sports anecdotes like the time he accidentally trod on the toe of Muhammad Ali who apologised for being in the way. Totally true. There are others too involving golf, rugby, athletics and so on including stock car racing and professional wrestling.
